Bring Your Own Device |

Silent Seminars now offers a range of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) solutions, giving delegates the option to listen to live event audio through their own smartphones and headphones.

Our solutions include DVOX, which streams high-quality live audio over Wi-Fi with simple QR-code access and no app download required, and AirCast, which uses the latest Auracas Bluetooth technology to broadcast audio directly to compatible devices.

BYOD can be used as a standalone solution or alongside our traditional RF headset systems, giving organisers greater flexibility and audiences more choice in how they listen.

Supporting More Inclusive Event Experiences

BYOD can also give delegates greater choice over how they access and experience event content.

For some neurodivergent attendees, having familiar headphones and greater control over their listening experience can help reduce sensory discomfort and make it easier to focus on the content. It can also provide an alternative for delegates who may benefit from adjusting audio to suit their individual needs.

Key benefits include:

  • No app download required

  • High-quality live audio streaming

  • Familiar and convenient listening for delegates

  • Reduced reliance on supplied headsets

  • Flexible option for large-scale events

  • Can complement traditional RF headset systems

  • Greater choice in how audiences access event audio

Giving people different ways to engage with an event helps create a more inclusive experience, without separating accessibility from the wider audience. BYOD can therefore form part of an event's accessibility strategy, helping more delegates participate in a way that feels comfortable and works for them.
