Local siblings partner to provide loud and silent audio at Birmingham’s NTIA Summit
For the first time, two Clent-born siblings are teaming up to deliver both loud and silent audio across one of the most anticipated gatherings in the nightlife sector: the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) Summit in Birmingham. Silent Noize Events, known nationwide for its wireless headset systems and silent events, is partnering with Leeds-based Audioserv, a leading provider of full-scale sound and AV production. Together, they bring decades of combined expertise to one of the most influential industry events of the year.
The Summit, hosted at Hockley Social Club, will welcome speakers, venue operators, artists and policymakers from around the world. More than a conference, the event acts as a driving force for innovation and collaboration across the night time sector, offering space for discussion, shared learning and strategic development. With this year’s edition expected to be the largest to date, Birmingham’s vibrant cultural landscape provides the perfect backdrop.
Silent Noize Events’ Sales Director, Chet Olafsson, expressed his excitement about the Summit returning to his roots:
“We are so excited the NTIA has chosen our hometown and old music stomping ground for its Summit. We both started our passion for music and subsequent audio career journeys in Digbeth. It’s so fitting that the Summit is here and it’s nice to work with the family. I am excited to show Birmingham what Silent Noize Events can do! We started running silent discos in Digbeth in 2010 and the company has just grown and grown. Plus, I am really excited to learn what 20 speakers from across the globe say about their innovative strategies to keep night time industries thriving so we can continue them here in the UK.”
His brother, Pete Rollinson, Director of Audioserv, echoed that sentiment, sharing his own connection to the city’s creative landscape:
“It’s great to be back home for this event! Birmingham night life has influenced me from a very young age. So many talented music artists and event producers are from this city. I’m excited to see what the future holds for us and meet industry leaders from all over the world. The NTIA allows the industry to have a stronger voice and is vital for political campaigning so we can continue our work bringing incredible events to people in the UK and beyond. We are grateful to the NTIA for the support they provide.”
The collaboration marks an exciting moment not only for the brothers, but for Birmingham’s night time economy. As the city welcomes global voices, Silent Noize Events and Audioserv will showcase the region’s talent, innovation and longstanding musical heritage.
By combining silent technology with large-scale sound systems, the partnership highlights the breadth of audio solutions now available to organisers, and reinforces Birmingham’s status as a city with a thriving, future-focused nightlife sector.
